Efimenko, Alexandra Yakolevna

Alexandra Yakolevna Efimenko (1848-1918) published in 1878 a work on the legal customs of the Saami. the Karelians and the Nenets, entitled Yuridcheskie obuchay loparey, korelov i samoedov (St. Petersburg 1878, 80 pp.). The subject has been divided up as follows: civil law, criminal law, the judiciary and society. This work also contains almost thirty pages of historical documents dating from the seventeenth to the nineteenth centuries, some of which have been published in translation in the West (Mikkola, Nickul, Leena Morottaja).
