<P align="justify"> The cod (<i&g … <P align="justify"> The cod (<i>Gadus morhua</i>) is a sea fish found throughout the seas and coasts of the north Atlantic. It grows to a large size; specimens over 15 kg are still common, but even larger individuals are not uncommon. The cod migrates to feed over large areas of the ocean and returns to spawn near the coast. The spawning takes place in the open sea in the spring, and the eggs float in the salt water. The cod feeds on fish, crustaceans and bottom-dwelling animals.
