<P align="justify"> A prehistoric pe … <P align="justify"> A prehistoric period during which communities that were otherwise characteristically Stone Age in culture themselves produced, or obtained from elsewhere, copper objects, and in a later stage of development also copper cutting tools. The terms ‘Chalcolithic’ (Copper Stone Age) and ‘Aeneolithic’ are used to refer to the same period. These terms have not been used in Nordic archaeology although signs have been found in various parts of the Nordic countries of the use of copper in the Stone Age.
